Google Now can be launched in a couple of ways. You can acces google now by swipe up from the bottom edge of your Android’s screen, tap the Google Search bar/widget, or hit the microphone icon on the search widget to initiate a voice-based search. When on the Google Now home screen, you can automatically trigger voice search by speaking the wake up word ‘Okay Google’ in to your microphone.
In the new Android 4.4 update, Google has highly integrated its personal assistant Google Now into the KitKat home screen. It has now a dedicated panel, which can be accessed with a swipe to the left. Also, you’re able to trigger Google Now voice commands without touching your device by saying the magic words “Okay Google”.
